CELPIP is another language proficiency measurement test designed to measure English proficiency. The acronym CELPIP stands for Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program which is administrated by Paragon Testing Enterprise and the paper is completely computerized that tests reading, listening, speaking and writing skills of the candidate. This test is actually required for Canadian permanent residency.
CELPIP Test Types-

CELPIP-General Test -
The CELPIP General Test comprises of four sections- listening, reading, speaking and writing which takes approximately 3 hours to complete. Identification forms acceptable-

• Passport
• Travel Document
• Refugee Protection Claimant Document

This test is suitable for the people who require the evidence of English-language skills when going to apply for PR in Canada.

CELPIP-General LS -
CELPIP-General LS is having two components only- Speaking and Listening which ends in about 1 hour and 10 minutes. This test is accepted by Immigration, Refuges and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Forms of identification accepted-

• Passport Booklet
• Canadian Permanent Resident Card
• Travel Document

This test is suitable for the people who need to show the proof of speaking and listening proficiency for Canadian Citizenship.
